What this reconstruction is built from, what was recovered, and what is still missing.

This is a reconstruction of the KOViD group’s own website. The LinkedIn page for KOViD Analytics points at kovidanalytics.com, which never resolved into an archived site. But the group ran a corporate site at kovidgroup.com, and its WHO WE ARE page carries the same paragraphs that appear on the LinkedIn page — word for word. That site, plus the labs site at kovidlabs.com, is what the pages here are built from.

Company facts are quoted from those pages and from the LinkedIn entry. Nothing about the company is invented, and where a page could not be recovered the site says so instead of filling it in.

Where it came from

  • kovidgroup.comWordPress site captured 2016–2019: home, WHO WE ARE, Products, Solutions, Contact, CorrectionsLink, privacy and terms. Six page captures were downloaded whole and kept in _tools/archive/original-site/.
  • kovidlabs.comOne capture, 26 April 2017: the Kovid Labs page, with its research description, three analytics practices, the advisor bench and the IIT Guwahati contact details.
  • LinkedInThe KOViD Analytics entry: address, headcount (4), follower count (85), logo, and the website field. Its description is the same text as the group’s WHO WE ARE page.
  • ImagesThe group’s own photographs and logo, recovered from the theme directory: hero, about, services, video and stats images, the horizontal logo and the favicon.

What is still missing

  • The theme stylesheet. css/screen.css and style.css were never archived, so the original layout, spacing and type scale are unknown. The palette is recovered — saffron from the logo, indigo from the hero photograph — and the typefaces are the ones the pages loaded: Open Sans and PT Sans.
  • Executive Team, Careers, Press Releases and Academy pages. They appear in the navigation but no capture exists. Only the two executives named in surviving copy (Nixon Patel, Rajiv Tandon) are shown.
  • Product detail pages. The five public-safety product names survive; their individual pages do not. CorrectionsLink™ keeps the feature list that was captured; the others are described only by their category.
  • kovidanalytics.com. The domain on the LinkedIn page has no DNS record today and was never captured by the Internet Archive or Common Crawl. There is no Kovid Analytics site to reproduce.
  • Names of staff. The company listed four employees and named no one beyond the two executives.

Photography

The brand photographs on this site are the company’s own files, recovered from its theme directory: the indigo hero band, the about strip, the services photograph, the video-section background, the stats band, the horizontal logo and the favicon.

Where the site needed a picture the company never published — the modality illustrations on the Labs page, the platform and boardroom shots — it uses CC0 stock photographs, credited here and never captioned as a Kovid employee, office or product:

  • analytics.jpg“Seo Ppc” — CC0 1.0, StockSnap, via Openverse
  • boardroom.jpg“conference room table chairs” — CC0 1.0, Rawpixel, via Openverse
  • team.jpg“Team Meeting” — CC0 1.0, StockSnap, via Openverse
  • voice.jpg“Mixer Equalizer” — CC0 1.0, StockSnap, via Openverse
  • vision.jpg“security camera building facade” — CC0 1.0, Rawpixel, via Openverse

Machine-readable record: _tools/archive/stock-credits.json.

The clip

The eight-second loop on the home page is not company footage. It was generated for this rebuild from the CC0 image “Abstract Background”, encoded as a 1280×720 H.264 file and shipped inside the folder so it plays offline. The company published no film; none was found.

Deviations, stated plainly

  • The markup is new. The original was WordPress with a commercial theme, jQuery, a slider plugin and icons loaded from a CDN. This is hand-written HTML, one stylesheet and one small script, so it works offline and from a file.
  • The palette is recovered, the layout is not. Saffron and indigo come from the logo and the hero photograph; the arrangement of the sections follows the original’s order, not its CSS.
  • Copy is condensed. Long paragraphs are broken into cards and rows. Wording about the company is the company’s own.
  • Nothing is requested from another server on load — fonts, images and video all live in the folder.
  • The Analytics entry point is kept. The LinkedIn page that prompted this rebuild describes Kovid Analytics specifically; that entity has its own card on the company page, and the Kovid Analytics description is quoted verbatim there.

What happened afterwards

Two things are visible in the archive and are noted here without interpretation. The 2018 CorrectionsLink™ page carries the footer of a different brand, Kaliber.ai. And kovidgroup.com carried a page titled /kovid-thinking-machine/ as late as December 2024, though that capture could not be read during this build.

Neither is used as the basis of a claim on this site.

Typefaces

  • Open Sans — SIL Open Font License 1.1, self-hosted as a variable woff2
  • PT Sans — SIL Open Font License 1.1, self-hosted (regular and bold)

Both are the faces the original pages loaded from Google Fonts.
